The Kleingers Group is excited to announce the addition of Michael Pistiolas, RLA, ASLA, LEED AP BD+C, CCCA to our Central Ohio office.  Michael will support our growing Landscape Architecture studio with his experience in construction documentation and construction administration.  Michael’s broad project experience across Ohio includes education, healthcare, urban design, and parks and recreation markets. Michael is a valuable addition to our civil engineering, surveying, and landscape architecture service offerings.

His project experience with The Kleingers Group includes Miami University Western Campus Site Improvements; University of Cincinnati Siddall MarketPointe Plaza Renovations; Columbus VA Hospital Entry Modifications; Jewish Hospital North Tower Expansion; Whittaker Elementary School; Parkside; and Cincinnati Children’s Liberty Campus.

The Kleingers Group recently attended The Christ Hospital Topping Off Event Ceremony. We were proud to join the other design team members on this exciting day to celebrate the final beam being placed on the new Joint and Spine Center facility.  The Kleingers Group is assisting with two separate projects on The Christ Hospital Campus that expand their current facilities. A Materials Management Building and Spine Center addition is currently under construction. The centerpiece of the expansion plan includes the development of a unique facility dedicated solely to orthopedic and spine care, designed to support physicians, patients, and families. The 332,000 square foot facility, will be connected just south of the main hospital and provide separate access for patients and visitors.

The new facility will include 60 private inpatient rooms, 10 operating rooms, physical and occupational therapy services, imaging services, pain management, physician offices and administration offices, and underground parking for approximately 150 vehicles. The Kleingers Group is serving as the local engineer for the project, assisting the design team with general reviews of drawings, providing guidance and coordination with local jurisdiction, processing permits for the City of Cincinnati, DOTE, and other local entities. The Kleingers Group also provided site survey and a traffic study for the entire site.

The Kleingers Group is proud to be a design partner for the regions newest hospital. Beckett Springs Hospital recently opened in West Chester, Ohio.  The 37,000 square foot behavioral hospital offers 48 beds and will focus on mental health care and addiction treatment. The facility will provide inpatient treatment, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services to both adults and seniors.  Kleingers provided the civil site design, surveying and landscape architecture design services on the project.  The hospital is seeking to create a niche in the marketplace and the site design reflects that mission.  Site design elements included a courtyard in the middle of the building.  A curvilinear trail around the on-site pond was also created to provide vantage points from multiple areas of the facility.
