University of Cincinnati- Probasco Hall

The Kleingers Group’s reality capture division, TrueScan, provided 3D laser scanning services for the renovation design team at Probasco Hall, a historic neoclassical church built in the early 1900s near the University of Cincinnati campus. Because of the structure’s unique spaces and intricate architectural detailing, laser scanning was the clear choice for accurately documenting this project.

In two days, The TrueScan team captured 200 interior and exterior scans of the building. An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV, commonly known as a drone) collected points on the roof, where scan data could not be easily acquired from the ground. Points accumulated from the UAV were placed in the same coordinate system as the scan data, combined into a single point cloud, and delivered to the design team.

Working with The Kleingers Group is simple.

  2. We collaborate to create the right design for your project, using everyday language.
