University of Cincinnati College of Law

Cincinnati, OH

Kleingers provided survey, civil engineering, and landscape architecture services for the $40 million addition and renovation to the University of Cincinnati Lindner Hall, which transformed into the new College of Law. The project was designed over an aged and abandoned 42″ by 35′ deep MSD sewer. A new underground stormwater detention basin was designed for this project. The sanitary service was reused, and coordination with the fire department ensured adequate building coverage. Additionally, the project included:

  • Terraced landscape seat walls
  • The rework of Campus Green Drive
  • A new pedestrian connection to the nationally acclaimed Campus Green

The University created a state-of-the-art law school designed with today’s law students’ technological and spatial needs in mind. The facility features enlarged classrooms, a 160-fixed seat auditorium to host community events, a law library, and office space for faculty and staff. All of the building’s mechanical and electrical systems will be replaced to earn LEED certification.
