Shawnee Neighborhood Stormwater System Analysis
The project is currently in design and is the initial project in a long-term improvement program for the storm water system in this old neighborhood. The existing system is very undersized and requires major upgrades to reduce frequent flooding that occurs during localized storms. The project includes the design of new outfall storm sewers to the Great Miami River that will pass beneath the existing FEMA-accredited flood levees that protect the City. Coordination with the Miami Conservancy District and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is necessary to obtain the necessary permits for construction.
