NTE Energy plans to construct a 525 MW natural gas electric generating facility in Middletown. The Kleingers Group provided boundary and topographic surveys and civil engineering services for several parcels of land totaling more than 45 acres and zoned for industrial use. In addition, The Kleingers Group supplied stormwater management plans, assisted with various permitting processes and developed plans for sewer and water extensions. The project will be one of the most efficient and clean sources of capacity and energy in PJM, the regional transmission organization. The site is centered between existing Texas Eastern and Rockies Express natural gas supply pipelines, and adjacent to the existing Duke Energy electric transmission lines, providing a convenient location for the proposed use. When the center is operational, it is expected to provide power to 400,000 homes and represent an investment of more than $500 million.
