University of Cincinnati’s TUC Student Union Renovation

Client: GBBN Architects

As part of UC’s “Main Street for Student Life” project—transforming a large urban campus into a pedestrian-friendly and aesthetically pleasing student community—K&A was asked to provide a detailed topographic survey of the Tangeman University Center site. The existing student union (TUC) was to be expanded, blending the original building with a modern façade. Upon completion of the original survey, we were asked to continue the survey throughout the Main Street project. The final survey included a major portion of the main campus, providing intricate detail of the surface features and underground utilities, as well as the establishment of a campus-wide geodetic control network to facilitate ongoing construction projects.
