Summit Country Day School Addition
Client: Steed-Hammond-Paul Architects
Kleingers & Associates was proud to join the recovery team for Summit Country Day after a portion of the Cincinnati school’s main building collapsed during a 2004 construction project. While, thankfully, no one was injured in the collapse, this left the new design team with the challenge of meeting an already tight deadline for completing the $11 million, 120,000-square-foot addition project. Communication and collaboration were key as teams worked side by side to complete the project in time for the 2004 school year. Summit officials were so pleased with the collaboration that they recently contracted with many of the same design team members for two additional projects: a new parking facility and the expansion of their athletic complex.
