Having accurate plant drawings and documentation is essential for any designer planning an expansion or removal of equipment. However, many manufacturing plants were designed in an era when only 2D CAD design tools were available and it is unlikely that the paper drawings produced are still up to date.

The K&A 3D Laser Scanning Team can produce precise documentation of even the smallest details of a plant. The 3D Laser Scanning data can then be used to provide a dimensionally accurate 3D spatial image of a plant and its equipment, which can be combined with 3D CAD tools to provide a comprehensive representation of the facility.
