Kleingers & Associates was chosen by the City of Silverton to draft the community's first Comprehensive Plan. One aspect of that plan was the creation of Urban Design Guidelines to detail project specifications for the revitalization of the streetscapes within the city's business corridors. Recommendations were made to unify and improve the visual appearance of the district as well as accommodate the potential for redevelopment. Suggested streetscape improvements included specifications for lighting, landscaping and public-use furnishings.
