Couvreur Earns Certification in
Erosion and Sediment Control
Continues Kleingers & Associates Efforts in
Environmentally-sensitive Design
(WEST CHESTER, OH) - Kleingers & Associates is pleased to announce that engineer Michael Couvreur, P.E. LEED AP, has successfully completed the process and examination to become a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC). With this certification, Mike demonstrates that he is a recognized specialist in providing effective and economical methods of minimizing soil erosion and sediment transport. Since the Ohio EPA has increased enforcement efforts for construction stormwater discharges, Mike's expertise in proper erosion and sediment control practices will help clients avoid added construction costs, project delays or possible fines. The CPESC certification program was initiated by the Soil and Water Conservation Society and the International Erosion Control Association with the objective of improving the competency of its members so that the land and water resources left to future generations will be at least as abundant and productive as they are today. The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) requires professional engineers to have CPESC certification in order to prepare storm water pollution prevention plans.
