Feedwire Road Improvement Project
Centerville, Ohio

The Kleingers Group provided survey, traffic studies, and transportation engineering for the roadway improvement project between Wilmington Pike and the existing bridge over I-675. The public roadway improvements were required to address capacity issues along Feedwire Road. The improvements—which will serve a nearby Costco, Home Depot and Target—included widening and reconstructing the existing primarily two-lane, urban collector street to accommodate a seven lane section at the intersection of Feedwire Road with Wilmington Pike, and a five lane section at the immediate intersection, which tapers back to two lanes at the I-675 bridge approach slab. Two traffic signals, lighting at intersections and drives, and storm sewers are part of this project. In compliance with the “Complete Street Policy” of the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVTPC), the design includes walks, a shared use path and a bus stop to ensure that all users of the public right-of-way are able to safely and conveniently reach their destination.
