Central Crossing High SchoolClient: Steed-Hammond-Paul Architects Kleingers & Associates was asked to develop complete site plans for a 110-acre site for three new schools in central Ohio. This was basically a virgin site with a high transmission line running through it, unusual drainage conditions and no existing sewer and water extensions serving it. The deadline for construction plan completion was extremely tight, and time had to be allotted for plan reviews from four departments in the school district: Franklin County, Jackson Township, the City of Columbus and the City of Grove City. We completed the site design, utility extension design, surveying and the design of almost 10,000 linear feet of roadway improvements. To expedite the process of plan approval for the utility extensions, we personally walked the plans through each department of the City of Columbus to solicit the approval and signoffs. |
