The Leblond Recreation Center and the Jack Twyman Memorial Multi-Sports Court – were recently dedicated at the Cincinnati Recreation Commission’s LeBlond Regional Rec Plex on Riverside Drive. The Regional RecPlex serves the tri-state area, offering a wide variety of recreation and leisure services for individuals with and without disabilities, while providing inclusive and accessible recreation activities and promoting healthy lifestyles and fitness.

The Kleingers Group provided civil engineering and survey services for the project. The design was developed to meet the needs of the participating community, which called for exceeding ADA requirements with extra handicap parking, optimizing access to ADA playground amenities and sports courts, and working with steep grades to provide additional vehicle access and ADA ramps.

Representatives from the Marvin Lewis Community Fund, the Reds Community Fund, Western & Southern, PNC Bank, Cincinnati Rotary and a few Bengals and Reds players were on hand for the dedication. There was also a demonstration of an adapted football game.

Our Central Ohio survey crews spent some time this fall surveying for the Scioto Greenways Project in Columbus, Ohio. The project includes several improvements along the river to create a stunning 33-acre greenway through Downtown.
