The Kleingers Group recently attended The Christ Hospital Topping Off Event Ceremony. We were proud to join the other design team members on this exciting day to celebrate the final beam being placed on the new Joint and Spine Center facility.  The Kleingers Group is assisting with two separate projects on The Christ Hospital Campus that expand their current facilities. A Materials Management Building and Spine Center addition is currently under construction. The centerpiece of the expansion plan includes the development of a unique facility dedicated solely to orthopedic and spine care, designed to support physicians, patients, and families. The 332,000 square foot facility, will be connected just south of the main hospital and provide separate access for patients and visitors.

The new facility will include 60 private inpatient rooms, 10 operating rooms, physical and occupational therapy services, imaging services, pain management, physician offices and administration offices, and underground parking for approximately 150 vehicles. The Kleingers Group is serving as the local engineer for the project, assisting the design team with general reviews of drawings, providing guidance and coordination with local jurisdiction, processing permits for the City of Cincinnati, DOTE, and other local entities. The Kleingers Group also provided site survey and a traffic study for the entire site.

The Kleingers Group recently attended the Grand Opening Ceremony for Germantown Village, a new mixed-income, affordable housing community that is the first phase of a multi-phase revitalization initiative underway in the historic Germantown-Broadway area of Dayton. Kleingers provided the civil engineering, surveying, and landscape architecture design services for this exciting downtown Dayton project. This first phase of Germantown Village comprises five buildings with a total of 60 apartment homes. The buildings vary in height, two-story and three-story, and apartments range from one bedroom to three bedrooms. The $12.8 million development is financed by a variety of sources, including equity raised by the sale of low-income housing tax credits allocated by the Ohio Housing Finance Agency. Wright State University recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for their new classroom building. The new facility will be approximately 60,000 square feet and located west of University Hall and north of the primary pedestrian path from parking to the main academic quad. The Kleingers Group provided the civil engineering and surveying on this exciting new project.

The project features two large Bio-Detention Basins traversed by a highly used pedestrian walk. The walkway features two Black Locust Wood Plank bridges, with steel cable railings that overlook the planting areas. The meticulously landscaped Bio-Detention Basins are engineered with a sub-surface drainage system and a specialty soil mix designed to improve both stormwater quality and quantity. This feature is a purposeful and tactile demonstration of the University’s commitment to environmental stewardship.

Additionally the project incorporates a large lower level outdoor plaza. The plaza space is flanked on the east by a cast stone seat wall and on the south by a series of terraced retaining and seat walls. The outdoor space can also be enjoyed through the expansive, full height, lower level windows.

The Kleingers Group was selected by the City of Centerville to deliver public roadway improvements along Feedwire Road. The public roadway improvements are proposed to support the City’s newest economic driver; the Cornerstone of Centerville development. Feedwire Road will be designed to meet a complete streets standard and in coordination with the development, the City of Centerville and the Ohio Department of Transportation.

When the City needed to select an engineer to deliver this project, qualifications, speed of delivery and overall expertise was critical selection criteria. The assembled Kleingers team, led by Nick Yeretzian, exceeded the City’s needs and NIck looks forward to delivering an outstanding project for the City.
